The Chase Youth Commission is a group of high school teens appointed by the Mayor, City Council and Board of County Commissioners to empower youth as leaders who bring about positive change in our community.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Spokane City Hall, and host various events throughout the year.  Time commitment averages 4 hours per month and events average approximately 2 hours each.

Chase Youth Commissioner terms are September through May with a planning retreat in mid to late August.  Applications for the 2020 – 2021 CYC Board term will be accepted from April 20, 2020 through July 3, 2020.  Click here to download an application, and here for the reference form, or call Susan Nelson, Chase Youth Foundation Executive Director at (509) 999-9325 if you would like to be part of this remarkable team.

We, as the representatives of Spokane’s youth, have so much to contribute and I love being able to say I am a part of that.

The Chase Youth Commission demonstrated that I do have a voice in government and that my perspective is important to local officials.
